Vision

Healing in Nature (HiN) aims to allow veterans of IDF combat teams to jointly process, unpack, and heal from traumatic events experienced during their military service. Using nature, community, and advanced research methods and technology we will provide a holistic treatment that aims to heal and promote the mental condition of the participants to allow them a good quality of life.

Scientific Research and Measuring

HiN will meet with combat teams to create a pre-HiN session baseline and will continue to gather data during the HiN experience, as well as a post-HiN treatment evaluation.

HiN will cooperate with professional and experienced mental health experts to prepare the groups, escort them, and follow up with them.

HiN participants will be accompanied by scientific academic teams from Cambridge and Tel Aviv Universities to measure and assess the results, implement new technologies in the treatment process, and provide scientific data to ensure treatment efficiency.

The Experience

HiN program provides a safe environment and opportunity to reflect, process, and unpack traumatic events. The K BAR L ranch in Montana is a remote location, 7 miles from the nearest road, surrounded by 1.5 million acres of wilderness.
The ranch is located where the North and South Forks of the Sun River meet and has a geothermal spring. The program includes group therapy sessions, outdoor activities, and access to advanced technology to help veterans process and heal from their traumatic experiences.
